When I was in the trenches of change, and feeling extremely lost and broken, I feared being alone because sitting with myself meant I’d have to feel all my hurt

I’ve learned to not resist the hurt, sadness, fear, loss, and loneliness when it shows up, and amazingly the emotions leave as quickly as they arrive. Even more, when they’re embraced with a spirit of acceptance, the result is always a deeper sense of self-love, peace and gratitude.

When it comes to ourselves we set a higher standard for ourselves and tend to be much more unforgiving and harsh

The scared and sad little boy still exists as my inner child. I need to become the nurturing and loving parent that my inner child needs. The kind of parent I needed when I was younger. I need to listen to what my inner child is telling me. I need to give it the love and support it needs to feel safe. I need to be there for my inner child. I will be writing more about this as I learn more about my inner child.

You have to be able to treat yourself like someone that you love

Keywords: happiness, life, lockdown, love yourself, self love

I have spent so long criticising myself telling myself that I don’t make my family proud because of my mistakes and that no one truly loves me because they all just feel sorry for me so they stick around. I often fail to forgive myself for the mistakes I make (even though its only part of being human). I’ve spent so much time stood in the mirror in my underwear just staring at myself and my body picking apart every single thing I dislike about myself like my thighs being too big, my tummy getting rolls when I sit down and leaving lines when I sit for too long, the fat on my back, the fact I have no triceps, the way my hair falls naturally honestly the list goes on and even though everyone would tell me there’s nothing wrong with me id still see it no matter what anyone said.

Self but not selfish / leaf shedding season 🍁🍂

Funny

Georgia Polly Taylor

Hello gang.

Hope September is bringing you happiness and peace. The full moon is creating some chaos I think. If – like myself – you are feeling frantic as hell then perhaps it’s because your inner wolf can feel the gravitational pull of that gal in the night sky. Get out there and howl. And if you think ‘George the full moon is a load of bollocks’ fair play, howl anyway it’ll make you feel fierce. We are 2/3 water after all, tides are being turned. I for one feel mentally annihilated, wahooo what a time to be alive!!!

Fuckin hold onto anything not tied down cos I have a feeling it’s going to be a bumpy one…

So the other day I was just sat having a lil check in with Georgia Taylor, haven’t had one of those in a while… self love/ self worth, and self care and…

The Importance Of Self Care

Self care is something a lot of us – including me, tend to skimp out on. Whether it be because we are “too busy” or just don’t think it matters, all of us need to step up our game. No matter how much you want to deny it, self care WILL increase the health of your mind, body, and soul. One thing to remember, is that self care is not a one time deal. You have to commit. You have to force yourself to do what makes you feel good, even when all you want to do is lay in bed.

In this post, I wanted to give some ideas on what you can do to self care.

  1. Turn off electronics for a few hours. You would be surprised at how much better you feel without the weight of social media!
  2. Spend time playing with a pet. Throw a ball…

Why don’t I have any Friends?

friendship, happiness, lonliness, self love

Shark Week Survival Kit Blog

In an effort to build a list for my 21st birthday celebration I sat down to jot down a list of people to invite. I came up with four people, two of which had other plans. “Why don’t I have any friends?” I thought to myself. At first I got very sad and decided that something must be wrong with me. Then I realized these things,

  1. I don’t have friends because I make myself too busy to maintain emotional depth in my social life
  2. I do not reach out to friends I once had because I don’t like to go out
  3. I am terrible at keeping in contact with people
  4. I have anxiety about my future and I have decided that every second that I’m relaxing is a nail in the coffin on my socioeconomic growth
  5. I’m not very fun

I’ve decided that these five points are the reason I…

How do you show yourself love?

confidence, happiness, love, selfcare, selfhelp, selflove, strength, yourself

The tone of my blog is mostly lighthearted as this is the vibe I try to share and attract to others, with as much humor as appropriately possible. This mentality keeps me positive and in good spirits, but there are naturally times when it is important to be more serious. Today I want to discuss the importance of loving yourself and the best ways to show yourself the tender love it so desperately needs.

One of the most important things to becoming a stronger and overall better person is loving yourself first. If you aren’t happy with yourself then everything you project out into the world will also hold some of this unhappiness and come on now, that’s not fair to anybody else. This by no way means being happy and showing love all the time because we all know that is not realistic or possible. Some days I…
